Mar. 16th, 2026 04:46 amIn Ichi the Witch, magic exists in the world, taking the form of sentient creatures dubbed "majiks." Each majik embodies a specific spell—taking the majik's trial and passing results in the acquisition of the majik and the ability to command it.
Bakugami—real name Bakjam—is the Joyous Sorrow Majik. Hateful, cunning, and manipulative, Bakugami is fanatically devoted to the World Hater Majik and aspires to support them in wiping out humanity. It came to this conclusion after witnessing the scene of the World Hater's destruction, informing its ethos that sorrow is the most beautiful force in the world. It is what the kids might call delulu. To advance this goal, it posed as the deity of a small kingdom, using its powers to gather followers and resources, with plans to eventually unleash carnage upon its people.
Currently, they are acquired by Ichi and contained by him.

NOTES
Pronouns: They/it, less commonly she/he. I try to stick to the first set, but how they're referred to by others doesn't matter a whole lot.
Age: Chronologically 15, but since majiks manifest in the world with a sense of identity, I do pretty much consider them to be an adult.
Traits: Bigass ears, tapir-like hands and feet, monochrome coloration (black and white like a tapir).

POWERS
Date: 2026-03-15 09:28 pm (UTC)1- It does not take away all sorrow, only whatever negative emotions caused you to accept its hug. It will also not prevent future sadness. Hugging it because you're sad your dog died will only take away the grief over the dog.
2- It can't take away the target's sadness if the target doesn't hug it with some intent of wanting to feel better. (A witch can bypass this and forcibly extract someone's sorrow.)
3- Sorrow can be returned in a normal, uncorrupted state.
As with all majiks, they cannot by killed by physical or magical violence, and can simply revert back to their normal state. Dealing with them requires acquiring them, warping their existence (thus far only possible by the World Hater), or forcing them to use powers beyond their limits.
